ABOUT
ME!
Tanesha "KSYN" Cason ( pronounced Kay-Sin), is no stranger to the stage. Born and raised in the Bronx, with her piercing eyes, radiant smile and over 15 years of industry experience, Ksyn has surely made a name and a brand all of her own.

When she was just 4 or 5 years old, her mother enrolled her in ballet classes to help her focus her energy on something enjoyable and constructive. As Ksyn grew older, she became deeply involved in sports like basketball, learned various dance styles such as African, joined the Girl Scouts as a Junior, participated in the girls basketball, chess and debate club at her school (Christ the King School in The Bronx), was published in the "Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans" (Vol. XXVII), and was one of three Salutatorians..

Throughout her high school years at Bronx Leadership Academy, Ksyn remained active in athletics by joining the track and field club, serving as the captain of the cheerleading team, and starting her training in Shotokan martial arts. Academically, she was a member of her school's National Honor Society and served as the secretary of the Student Government during her 9th and 12th grade years. Additionally, Ksyn expanded her activities by stepping, modeling, and dancing with a youth group in her hometown of The Bronx.

“Being apart of this youth group, helped me as a teen. It kept me out of trouble and off the streets. They opened the door to a lot of opportunities that I may not have had. For example how many teens did you know growing up had the opportunity to step at the white house, perform along side some talented and amazing artists for a major Seventeen Magazine event and even was presented the opportunity to dance back up for Alicia Keys (the Maxwell Tour) all before the age of 17…”

She continued her academic excellence through out college becoming President of the club SISTUHS, a cheerleader for her schools basketball team, a residential assistant, and an active member of the dance program where she received the Outstanding Achievement in Dance award, The Dennise Messier Memorial Dance Scholarship, and the opportunity to audition for the American Dance Festival full scholarship (via The American Collage Dance Festival) which she obtained not once but twice held at Duke University in North Carolina. In the spring of 2005, Ksyn obtained her Bachelors of Science in Arts Management with a concentration in Dance from Franklin Pierce College (now Franklin Pierce University) in Rindge, NH, moved back to New York and proceeded to pick up where she left off. Before long Ksyn was landing jobs like Elle Girl, Dance Spirit, XXL, The Source, Hype Hair Magazines and music videos with artists like 50 cent, Hitmaker (Young Berg), Dj Envy, Keyshia Cole and Jay Z (to name a few).

After joining one of the leading dance agencies, Bloc NYC, she has toured and performed with artists such as Eve, Sean Paul, Beyoncé, Beyoncé & Jay Z, Ciara, Jeremih, N.E.R.D, Ashanti, Joe Thomas, and participated in two tours with Drake: the Aubrey and the Three Migos Tour, and the Assassination Vacation Tour, where she serves as Dance Captain. You can also see Ksyn in seasons 1 to 5 of the popular show Lip Sync Battle, hosted by LL Cool J with vibrant commentary from Chrissy Teigen, as well as in the movie In the Heights, written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes, and directed by Jon M. Chu.

Ksyn has even taken a dab into acting where she was featured in the movie Fighting directed by Dito Montiel, landing the role of Shevonne Dubai, where she worked along side Channing Tatum, Terrence Howard, Louis Guzman, Brian White and many others. She's also worked with the director of Training Day, Antoine Fuqua, in the film Brooklyn’s Finest starring Ethan Hawke, and Don Cheadle; as well as being featured on the hit shows 30 Rock, starring Tina Fey and Tracey Morgan, and How to make it in America, starring Kid Cudi and Victor Rasuk.

With Ksyn’s bright smile, down to earth personality and ever growing talent, Ksyn continues to be one of today’s rising stars and definitely one to watch out for.
