So a friend of mine recommended that I try a new line of Make up created and worn by The Super Model Legend, Iman and of course I had to look into it. Iman, even though known for her fierce walk on the cat walk, marriage to Legendary David Bowie and her Exotic features, she is also known for her flawless skin. So I would only assume that anything she creates for skin, whether its make up, face wash, acne cream (yea right lol, like she gets acne) would not only be a great product but would also be Great on the skin.
I decided to put my MAC aside for a while (Sorry MAC) and test out the Stick Foundation, Semi Loose Powder, Blush and Concealer for a month. First things first her line is only available at Duane Reade and some other retail stores. This means that it is affordable. Fair warning do knock store brand cosmetics just because they sell the product at a store like Duane Reade or CVS does not mean that its not good. In most cases these products turn out to be better for your skin for everyday wear. MAC can sometimes tend to be heavy depending on the foundation the artist recommends and sometimes they don’t know what they are talking about, even after the training.
Anyways, once I found a location that had enough of the product, I had to find the right shade. Now that is always the hard part. When you go into a MAC or a place where they have make up artist, They help you find the right shade or combination for your skin. This is something that you can not do at Duane Reade but you can purchase a product then return it, even if its open, if it isn’t the right shade. This can be a little annoying at first because in her line there are so many shades.
The colors are broken up on Sand, Clay and Earth. Finding your shade is the easy part. Finding your color within that shade is a little more difficult and can take a little time. If you are my complexion then you would be Earth 2.. Once you find the match however, you are good to go. It feels as though you have nothing on. Check out the products and my comments and then see for yourself.
